1. Acceptance of these terms

These terms govern your use of the Omit Ad Blocker browser extension (“Omit”) and the omitads.com website. By installing the extension or using the website, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t install the extension.

2. License

Omit is provided to you free of charge under a permissive license that lets you install and use the extension on any number of devices for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial. The extension is open development; portions of it are licensed under third-party open-source licenses (see the extension’s About page for the full attribution list).

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Omit to circumvent paywalls in ways that violate the publisher’s terms.
• Repackage, rebrand, or redistribute the extension while implying it is an official Omit release.
• Use the website’s name, logo, or branding in a way that suggests endorsement we have not given.

4. No warranty

Omit is provided “as is,” with no warranty of any kind, express or implied. Ad blocking is an ongoing arms race; we cannot guarantee that any specific ad will be blocked, that any specific site will continue to work, or that the extension will be compatible with every future version of Chrome.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the maintainers of Omit are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the extension or the website. Our total liability for any direct damages is limited to the amount you paid us, which is zero.

6. Third-party services

Omit downloads filter lists from third parties (AdGuard, EasyList, GitHub-hosted lists). We are not responsible for the content of those lists or the availability of those services. We curate the default list set; you may add, remove, or replace lists in the extension settings.

7. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be announced on the homepage. Continued use of Omit after changes means you accept the updated terms.

8. Termination

You may stop using Omit at any time by uninstalling the extension from chrome://extensions. We may discontinue Omit at any time; if that happens, we will give a reasonable notice on the homepage so you can find an alternative.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the maintaining entity is registered. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction. Specific details on the operating entity are available on request.
